Already dipped your toe into permaculture or just getting curious? Not sure why having many ecosystem niches are important for success in your garden or farm?

Come take in a hands-on workshop at a relaxed pace while taking in 360 degree views from the foothills of Araku Valley. Join us at Wild Forest Permaculture, near Andra village, Andhra Pradesh, from June 16-22, 2019 to learn how to design a natural fishpond using permaculture principles.

In the second phase of transforming this commercial rice field to wetland, you will learn the types of species to plant, how to plant them, and learn about designing for biodiversity.

Wetlands are significant for a number of reasons including:

- mitigate polluted water

- balance high nitrogen and phosphorus content in soil or water

- create diversity for a more resilient permaculture system

We’ll be planting as many species that can be found locally as possible. Every year we are planning ahead for the next one!

Bring it! This is a camping facility and we will cook meals as a team. If you don’t have a tent, please let us know and we will arrange one to rent :) - The cost to stay 1 week will be 1500rs to cover food costs. Please let us know about your eating preferences ahead of time! You are welcome to bring your own snacks as well. - Get ready to breath fresh air & watch nature come back to life as monsoon season kicks in!
